Photographer at workshops
Nu
incerc sa umplu niste randuri despre mine prin aceasta descriere,
dar
pot scrie cat mai putin si sa las fotografiile sa vorbeasca de la sine…
doar
ele pot spune momentul cand se descopera, se ilustreaza,
se
proiecteaza clipa cea mai importanta stransa intr-o fotografie.
Aceasta
„clipa inramata”, unde timpul se opreste, poate spune totul despre subiect,
dar
si despre cel, care doar din vointa lui, a expus momentul pe hartie.
Aceasta
poate fi o descriere a unui fotograf al contrastelor care printr-o vesnica
miscare
a
fragmentat timpul cadru cu cadru.
Do
not try to fill some lines about me through this description,
but
can write as little as possible and let the photos speak for themselves ...
only
they can tell when they are discovered, it illustrates is projected moment
the
most important close a photo. This "moment framed" where time stops,
can
tell you everything about the subject, and about one that only his will,
exposed
when the paper. This could be a description of a photographer of contrasts
that
by eternal movement of fragmented time frame.

style of photography gravitates around the portrait of the dancing couple,
playing a lot with the poor light of tango milongas, on the spot and in

context, I allways add my own impression, taking the viewer back in the time of
Rembrandt's lights and shadows or keeping him in a high note of black and

Hy there!
“I might like dancing with people as much as I like shooting them”
I started dancing tango 8 years ago and I find that tango and still photography complete very well each other (I often get my inspiration from dancing a tanda or capture pictures before I start do dance).
My photography journey started when I was a student, back
in the film era, with 60 rolls of B&W ORWO and an urge to tell stories
silently. I have been a tango photographer for five years, now, and I have been
shooting many local and international events since then. (Bucharest Tango
Marathon – 4 editions , Un abrazo porteno in Bucharest – 4 editions, Fesivalito
Porteno 2014, Tango Fantasia 2 editions, First Romanian Tango Championships
2015, Tango Vlaho, Moldavian Autumn Dance Tango Festival, and others).
In my photography I try to keep as much as I can from
the feeling of shooting film while taking the advantage of nowadays technology.
Still, the most important thing for me is telling the story of the event. Thus, I try to be there for the most part of it and try to know
as much as I can about it before getting there for the shooting.
My studio work aims to take the concept of storytelling
further, while still working with untrained models to get a more natural look
to the pictures. I still like to believe that I’m not making pictures, I’m
taking them.
